Born
in Caracas, Venezuela in 1971; Camilo Parra's parents
are members of the Venezuelan diplomatic corps, and
thus, he has lived and travelled in many places throughout
the world, including the U.S.A., Sweden, Belgium,
Colombia, and Guatemala. He speaks English, French,
Swedish and Spanish.
He
is a long-term activist regarding enviromental and
cultural preservation, and got his start as a ten-year-old,
when he fought to protect las Cuevas del Indio - local
ancient caves. After a long battle, the caves were
saved and eventually became a national park; at the
age of 12 he became the park's youngest guide.
