2005 Programs (Reserve Now!)
A number of specialized programs were launched for the
2004 season. We have combined Canaima National Park
with two coastal destinations (Caruao
or Ocumare) – all of which can also be experienced
separately. This will give the visitor an all year round opportunity
to visit and experience the culture of the Pemón, as
well as savour the culture and biodiversity of the coastal
regions within easy reach of Venezuela’s major international
airport.
We have also a Photography Tour for amateur
or professional photographers to the Llanos or wetlands, which
can be combined with other scenic destinations such as Canaima,
The Andes or the Amazonas and a Basic Birdwatching
and Natural History Tour.
Finally, we are delighted to announce a “special flagship
trip” that follows the route of Ruth Robertson’s
Forgotten Expedition - an heroic adventure to Angel
Falls that was the first successful attempt to reach the base
of the falls. Four previous efforts by other expeditions failed.
If time is too short one can visit the Pemón lodges
of Uruyén / Kavak or head directly to the Spa or Ocumare
– we would be happy to customize any package for you
for two or more people.

The Forgotten Expedition - The Authentic Tour (8d
/ 7n)
Follow in the footsteps of Illinois’
Ruth Robertson, photojournalist extraordinaire,
who financed and led the very first successful expedition
that reached Angel Falls in May 1949 after four previous male
led missions failed in their quest. Leaving civilization in
Ciudad Bolívar, you will land by the Pemón Indian
lodge in Uruyén, the same spot where Jimmie Angel landed
12 years previously. From there you will travel along the
same rivers and trails as Ruth did to Angel Falls, accompanied
by your local Pemón hosts. Your local guide will recount
stories, share photos and diary extracts of that heroic journey.
“This is a great expedition. A fascinating insight
into the culture of the local Pemón and what Ruth achieved
when others failed…….”
- Isabel Barton-Rodriguez – filmmaker and documentary
producer.
Summer 2005 dates are scheduled for these authentic expeditions.
Inquire about monthly Saturday
/ Sunday departures from Caracas. Other departure days available

Venezuela Photo Adventures – (6 d / 5 n)
The Llanos Photo Adventure will take photographers right
to heart of the local action. Wildlife locations, actual private
reserves that work as giant “private” zoos teeming
with tame wildlife accustomed to people. Other wilder “critters”
will be located and discovered by the experienced local guides
/ trackers.
Photographers will be provided not only with the locations,
but also with unique opportunities. Our trained staff will
arrange events, feasts and any kind of shooting opportunities
that are normally hard to obtain since they are spread all
over. Wild horses running free in front of beautiful sunsets,
local musicians and dancers around a nighttime fire, cattle
herding under the golden light of the sunrise. We can arrange
everything except the weather…
Our Llanos locations are well recognized by famous photographers
such as Art Wolfe, Kevin Shaffer and Robert Caputto, who have
taken many splendid images in the Llanos many published in
the well-known Audubon Magazine, National Geographic Magazine
and several photographic books.
The basic program may be added too with different 3, 4 and
5-day modules by special request. Additional modules could
include – Canaima National Park, Andes, Amazonas and
Harpy Eagle special.
The above trips have immediate availability. For more information
