Located along the shores of the tropical sea lagoon La Cienaga, Coral Lagoon Lodge lies only 3 hours from Caracas airport and is nestled between the mountains of Henri Pittier National Park and the Caribbean coastline. Our waterfront location allows you to enjoy snorkeling, diving and kayaking whilst discovering the tropical marine environments right off our doorstep!

The secluded La Cienaga bay lends a special mystique to Coral Lagoon Lodge, because the only way to get to the property is by a 20-minute boat ride from the coastal village of Ocumare de la Costa! No trails, no roads – only the sea itself to serve as your guide.

By air: The nearest major airports are located at Maracay (1.5 hrs) and Valencia (2 hrs), but from the main airport in Caracas (3 hrs), the simplest way to reach the lodge is to request us to collect you at the airport by taxi (approx. US$110 for up to 3 persons depending on arrival date / time). We’ll take care of the driving and quickly get you to Ocumare so that you can get your holiday off to a relaxing start on the beach.

By bus: Alternately, numerous buses travel between Caracas to Maracay to Ocumare. From Caracas Airport, reach the bus station 'la Bandera' from where you can take a bus to Maracay. Once in Maracay, go to the main bus station and catch a bus destined for Ocumare, El Playon. The bus travels a spectacular route over a jungle-covered mountain before descending to the coast. Once in Ocumare de la Costa, we will transfer you to the pier (la Boca) where you take a 20-minute boat transfer to Coral Lagoon Lodge.
